1979
- Founded Gwangmyeong Industrial Co.
1993
- Established KIMS Handle
1994
- Began exhibiting at Ambiente, the German kitchenware trade fair
1995
- Awarded the $5M Export Tower
1997
- Launched KASMAIN in Vietnam
*KASMAIN: an abbreviation meaning “the hub of kitchen parts suppliers”
2001
- Started investment in China and established Changshu KIMS Handle
2005
- Established Changshu KASMAIN in China
2008
- Awarded the $10M Export Tower
2009
- Selected as a “Hidden Champion” by the Korean government and KOTRA
2015
- Renamed the Korean HQ from KIMS Handle Co., Ltd. to KIMS COOK Co., Ltd.
- Started finished-goods production at Changshu KASMAIN, China
- Won the Design Innovation Award at Ambiente (Germany)
2016
- Won the Design Innovation Award at the IHS Show in Chicago, USA
2018
- Expanded investment in Vietnam and established KIMS COOK Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City
2021
- Vietnam plant obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications
2023
- Initiated M&A for LocknLock’s cookware division in Vietnam
2024
- Rose as the first company in Korea’s kitchenware industry capable of producing both stainless steel and aluminum products simultaneously
